About the breed

Among all breeds of dogs, the poodles is one of the most recognizable. They are elegant, athletic, active, adaptable, highly trainable and above, all, very sociable. Today they are mostly family dogs, successful in various dog sports, excellent therapy dogs and show dogs. According to the standards, poodles can be of various sizes and colours. Their unique curly coat is hard-wearing and does not shed like in other breeds, making poodles a very suitable choice for allergy sufferers. More

Great family dog

Poodle gets on well with children of all ages and is happy to play. Never leave dogs alone with a child unsupervised, as they could accidentally injure them or bite them in fear. Poodles are dogs who want to be around the family all the time, so they will only spend time in the yard if you are there too. They are adaptable and calm indoor dogs that can live in any apartment or house. As their fur does not shed, you will not have any extra chores to do with your indoor space.

Grooming

The grooming is quite demanding. Their thick, curly coat likes to knot and tangle and if we want to keep it in perfect condition, daily combing and bathing every 10 days is necessary. The poodle’s hair should be clipped every 6-8 weeks. A short haircut is the easiest to care for. If we want a more distinctive look with a distinctive haircut (chest, bangs and whiskers), we will be more frequent visitors to the Dog salon.

Many poodles have their own duties.

Poodles belong to a group of the most intelligent dog breeds. Their intelligence and desire to please their master made them one of the excellent service dogs. Many poodles work as guide dogs for the blind, assistance dogs for people with special needs and as therapeutic dogs. Because of their extremely sharp nose, they are also used to look for truffles.
